McDonald's Essentials for Supplier Safety and Health
This course aims to provide the health and safety requirements for McDonald’s Restaurants Limited’s suppliers. The course is based on UK requirements, but includes references to both NI and ROI requirements. For clarity, the legal definition of construction includes maintenance, repair, and cleaning using high pressure water or abrasive or corrosive or toxic substances. Successful completion of this course will achieve compliance with the McDonald’s Restaurants requirement of approved health and safety training every 3 years. The course includes 6 hours of online training, with a short test at the end of each module and an end of course test.
Course Objectives
On completion of the course, delegates should:
❑ Recognise the responsibilities under the law of employers and employees to the workforce, contractors and to the general public;
❑ Recognise the common hazards which are encountered during construction, maintenance and other work within restaurants;
❑ Recall the principal precautions which must be taken to avoid accidents and ill-health, and to maintain a safe and healthy work environment; and
❑ Appreciate the requirements of CDM2015 and the ROI Construction Regulations 2013.
